rps5 Li-Ion Battery
rps5 is a 5kWh – 24V modular battery pack ideal for residential solar/grid-tied storage systems or as a standalone Li-ion battery pack for various 24V applications.
The rps5 is available in two variants: A standard version with passive thermal management and an optional high C-rate version featuring latent heat storage (LHS) thermal management with phase change material (PCM) to support continuous discharge/charge rates up to 1C.

Residential Solar Backup System Case Study
Volta partnered with a solar backup system supplier to provide uninterruptible residential power for basic appliances, especially in Puerto Rico and other areas frequently affected by natural disasters, and/or lack of access to a reliable power grid or alternative backup power system.
The pre-existing lead-acid product offering was limited to 2.4 kWh storage and could not be wall hung.
Leveraging Volta’s industry-leading high C-rate, rps5 battery pack, a next-gen product offering was introduced featuring 5 kWh storage, upgradeable to 10 kWh, and with the added benefits of being completely maintenance-free, and flexibility for the end customer to have the system floor mounted or wall hung.
