Bringing Fail-Safe Distributed Energy Storage Technology to the Middle East and North Africa

The Future of Energy is Here

Helping the region rapidly expand deployment of renewables, diversify energy sources, meet growing electricity demands, and attain sustainability targets.

The Middle Eastern and North African Regions face challenges such as capacity and efficiency in storing and managing the energy generated from vast renewable sources. Viridi will provide the expertise and technology necessary to address these challenges and to help the area achieve its renewable energy commitments. We are eager to lend our credibility and innovation to the region’s growing renewable energy sector.

Attracting Foreign Talent and Investment in Saudi Arabia

As part of attracting foreign talent and investment, Saudi Arabia has restricted state entities from doing business with international companies that do not have their regional headquarters in the country by January 2024. The country aims to have 160 global companies run their Middle East operations from Saudi Arabia by the end of this year. The estimates for foreign direct investment into Saudi Arabia’s economy have been revised up to $33 billion last year, quadrupling the previous assessment of $8 billion.

Viridi Expands Global Presence with Launch of MENA Subsidiary

Viridi recognized the urgency and has expanded its global presence through the launch of Viridi MENA. Our subsidiary, headquartered in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, will work with partners in the region to manufacture and deploy Viridi’s unique fail-safe lithium-ion battery energy storage systems throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). Eng.Nabelah Al-Tunisi, a distinguished figure in the regional energy industry who is renowned for her previous role as Chief Engineer at Saudi Aramco, will lead Viridi MENA as company president.
